S61 - Discoloured water
Some customers may have discoloured water as we’ve been doing some work in the area. This is nothing to worry about - just follow the link for advice on how to get it cleared.
What proof do I need?
Below are the types of income proof that we accept for WaterSupport.
All proof must show your name and address.
If you're receiving a wage, sick pay or maternity pay
Please send us one of the following:
- a recent wage slip from within the last 3 months
or
- a recent bank statement from within the last 3 months
or
- the most recent Housing Benefit award (showing breakdown of income)
or
- a printout or screenshots of your most recent payment breakdown (if you click on the date of your most recent payment, it will bring up a breakdown showing your name, address, and full payment breakdown).
If you're self-employed
Please send us one of the following:
- your self-assessment tax return for the most recent financial year
or
- a signed and stamped, official document from your accountant showing your profit for the latest financial year
or
- all pages of most recent Tax Credits award (self-employment income is shown in this document)
or
- your most recent Housing Benefit award (showing breakdown of income)
or
- a printout or screenshots of your most recent Universal Credit statement (if you click on the date of your most recent payment, it will bring up a breakdown showing your name, address, your universal credit payment and your self-employment income).
If you're receiving Universal Credit
Please send us one of the following:
- a printout or screenshots of your most recent Universal Credit statement (if you click on the date of your most recent journal payment, it will bring up a breakdown showing your name, address, and full payment breakdown)
or
- a recent bank statement from within the last 3 months.
If you're receiving JSA, ESA, Income Support, Carer’s Allowance, Pension Credit, Incapacity Benefit or Industrial Injury
Please send us one of the following:
- your most recent award letter from the DWP or Job centre
or
- a recent bank statement from within the last 3 months.
If you're receiving Tax Credits
Please send us one of the following:
- all pages of your most recent award letter
or
- a recent bank statement from within the last 3 months
or
- screenshots from your online account/app (this must include the page that shows your name and address, as well as the page that shows the amounts paid to yourself).
If you're receiving a state pension and/or a private pension
Please send us one of the following:
- your most recent letter from the pension service/company that your pension is provided by
or
- a recent bank statement from within the last 3 months.
If you're in receipt of a student grant or loan
Please send us:
- your most recent student finance letter showing your annual amount.
If you're receiving fostering allowance
Please send us:
- the letter provided by your fostering agency confirming the monthly amounts paid to yourself.
If you're receiving rental income
Please send us one of the following:
- your self-assessment tax return for the most recent financial year
or
- a recent bank statement from within the last 3 months.
If you're receiving maintenance pay, Child Benefit, Attendance Allowance, son/daughter's contribution, income from lodger, DLA/PIP or Housing Benefit
We don't need to see proof of this, we only need to know the amount.
How do I send my application and proof?
By email
Please send your application form and Screenshots or photographs of your documents to support@yorkshirewater.co.uk.
In the subject of your email, please enter your customer reference number and ‘WaterSupport’.
By post
Please send your application form and printouts or photocopies of your documents in the pre-paid envelope provided or to:
